I got the chance to play several basses of the new batch that were equipped with Pete's new strings.

Like everything Pete seems to touch these days, the strings are seriously good stuff!

I've been a long time DR player and I like the tone and feel of Pete's new strings much better. They maintain all the clarity and punch of the DRs but have a much better feel. I've never really paid that much attention to this kind of thing but I could really notice the even string to string balance of these strings and the really comfortable feel. They are noticeably smoother under my fingers and have a really nice tension as well. Not floppy at all but not really stiff either. Like Goldie Locks would say....these were juuuust right!

Great strings for great basses. What more could you ask for?
Pete count me in for at least four sets.

Hey everyone ! I removed the previous post so there would be less confusion . Here are the Gauges for the nickel/steel hybrid strings .

From C to B .032 .045 .065 .080 .100 .128 tapered . They are tension balanced and feel very nice .

strings have been shipped , You can recieve a sample set for 12.00 . this will cover shipping and handling . After that the price for single set will be :
4-string = 34.00
5-string = 36.00
6-string = 38.00

If you buy 3-sets or more the price per set will be :

4-string =24.00
5-string = 26.00
6-string = 28.00

You can only get one sample set for the 12.00 and only for a short time . So if you want to try these out please send me all your info in a PM . You can send check or money order or call with a credit card . Once you have decided you like them then you can order the regular sets .

Thanks ,

Pete

Okay, I'll take a sample set (for $12.00, presumably).

I will then also take three more sets, one 4-string and two 5-string.

Tom.

The new strings are truly happening! I've tried a lot of different strings over the years-these are the best I've played so far!
